The Trees of Rackham (ruined?)

Wonderbookfront_rackham

Amidst his highly impressive oeuvre of illustrated books, the English artist Arthur Rackham has oft been noted for his depictions of charismatic and frequently sentient trees, yet the trees and forests of Britain that undoubtedly inspired him and numerous other artists and poets are under threat by the Government's proposals to sell the nation's woodlands.

A petition to protest about the potential environmental, social and aesthetic detriment that could occur from sales of the forests to unscrupulous individuals or corporations has been raised here http://www.38degrees.org.uk/page/s/save-our-forests#petition
